This 1970 Plymouth Barracuda coupe is powered by a 440ci V8 that was installed under prior ownership around 2010 along with a Six Barrel carburetor setup. The car was repainted in orange under prior ownership and is accented by black “hockey stick” stripes with 440 lettering. Features include AAR-style front and rear spoilers, hood scoops, hood pins, chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, and a body-color tail panel. Dual exhaust outlets protrude through the rear valance.
Polished Weld Racing 15″ wheels were installed under current ownership and are mounted with 215/70 Cooper Trendsetter front tires and 275/60 Hankook Kinergy rear rubber. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and the car has power steering.
The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in white vinyl. Appointments include a Bluetooth-capable Jensen stereo, a Hurst pistol-grip shifter, woodgrain trim, and a heater. LED lights have been added in the dashboard. Interior wear is visible in the photo gallery below.
A woodgrain-style steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, alternator status, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 86k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
The 440ci V8 is said to have been installed in 2010 and is augmented by a “Six Barrel” carburetor setup, Mopar Performance valve covers, and an Optima battery. The engine bay is painted black, and the trunk compartment is gray in color. The car’s chassis number indicates that it was originally powered by a 318ci V8; the trim tag has been removed from the fender apron.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Sure-Grip limited-slip differential. The exhaust system reportedly utilizes 3″ pipes, Flowmaster mufflers, and a machined manifold.
