This 1979 Porsche 911SC Targa is said to have remained in Utah until it was acquired by the seller on BaT in December 2023. It is finished in yellow over brown upholstery and is powered by a 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a Targa removable roof panel, fog lights, 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows, and an Alpine CD stereo.
The car is finished in yellow and has fog lights, dual side mirrors, and rear bumperettes. The right side of the car is said to have been repainted under previous ownership, and the Targa top has been replaced. Noted flaws include a repaired chip in the windshield, a blemish on the right side of the Targa bar, paint chips on the hood, and an inoperative antenna.
Fuchs 16″ wheels with black-finished centers are mounted with 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Michelin tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with ventilated rotors.
Brown upholstery covers the front and rear seats, and color-coordinated trim accents the door panels. Appointments include air conditioning, power windows, and an Alpine CD stereo. An air-conditioning hose was repaired and the condenser fan motor was serviced in 2015.
The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 150-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 89k miles, approximately 20 of which have been added under current ownership.
The 3.0-liter flat-six features Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 172 horsepower and 189 lb-ft of torque. The battery was replaced under current ownership.
