This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is said to have remained with the prior owner for over 47 years and been refurbished under their care in 2003. Work involved a repaint in metallic red and an interior refresh as well as installation of an overbored 350ci V8, aftermarket front disc brakes, and QA1 front coilovers. The car features flip-up headlamps paired with quad tail lamps and rides on 17″ Budnik wheels. Inside, bolstered bucket seats are accompanied by a split-spoke steering wheel and a Custom Sound stereo. Shifting is through a Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission, and further equipment includes a Holley carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, and an MSD ignition along with long-tube headers flowing into a dual exhaust system. The car was acquired by the seller in 2025, and subsequent work consisted of re-trimming the seats as well as replacing the door panels and carpets.
The fiberglass body was repainted in what the seller calls Inferno Red Pearl Metallic as part of the aforementioned 2003 refurbishment. The car wears a replacement black convertible top, and further details include flip-up headlamps, quad tail lamps, fender vents, and chrome bumperettes. A paint blemish is noted near the passenger-side door handle, and a crack is visible in one of the passenger-side headlamps.
The 17″ Budnik Teardrop wheels are mounted with 205/55 front and 225/55 rear General Exclaim tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. This example is equipped with power steering and has been fitted with QA1 coilovers as well as retrofitted brake calipers over slotted rotors up front.
The bolstered bucket seats were reupholstered in black vinyl in 2025, and replacement door panels and carpets are also said to have been added in preparation for the sale. A Custom Sound stereo has been added, and further amenities include an analog clock, a heater, and three-point seatbelts.
A split-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 6k miles, less than 50 of which were added under current ownership. The seller states that total mileage is unknown.
The seller tells us that the 350ci V8 was bored .030″ over prior to installation in 2003 as part of the aforementioned refurbishment. The engine is fitted with an MSD Street Fire ignition system a well as a Holley Demon carburetor atop an aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold. Additional components are said to include a COMP Cams camshaft, a larger oil pan, and four-bolt main bearings.
The stamping on the engine pad is shown above. The TRH suffix is consistent with a 350ci V8 built for use in a 1972 Chevrolet.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission.
